Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Beyond Creative ('we', 'us') collects, uses and protects information in connection with the official website of the documentary film 'Awakening' (the 'Site').
The Site is operated by Beyond Creative, which is responsible for the information described below.
Who we are
The Site is the official website of the documentary film 'Awakening', produced by Beyond Creative together with Spur Impact Films and Docdays Productions.
Beyond Creative is the controller of the information described in this policy. For any question about it, or to exercise the rights described below, write to us at beyondcreativeoffice@gmail.com.
Information you provide voluntarily
You may choose to send us information through the inquiry form on the Contact and Where to Watch pages, by email, or by writing to us on WhatsApp. This information usually includes:
- Your name and, if you choose to give it, your organisation or institution;
- Your email address and, for screening requests, your country or city;
- The type of inquiry you select, a subject line and your message;
- The estimated audience size, if you are requesting a screening;
- Your confirmation that you consent to being contacted.
You choose what to send us. If you write to us on WhatsApp, the information is processed as described under 'WhatsApp communications' below.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical and usage information, such as:
- Which pages you view and how you interact with them — for example playing the trailer, opening a link or using a share button;
- Your IP address;
- Your browser type and version, and your device type and operating system;
- Your language and a general geographic region derived from your IP address;
- The page or campaign link that brought you to the Site.
This information is used in aggregate to understand how the Site is used, to keep it working correctly, and to measure how effectively we tell people about the film.
Cookies and similar technologies
The Site does not set its own cookies. Cookies and similar identifiers may, however, be set by the third-party services described below:
- Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms) — sets the _fbp cookie, and the _fbc cookie when you arrive from a Facebook or Instagram link, in order to measure and improve our advertising;
- YouTube (Google) — embedded videos are served in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which does not store cookies on your device until you start playback. Once you play a video, YouTube may set cookies;
- Google Fonts (Google) — loads the typefaces used by the Site. It may record your IP address, but is not used for advertising.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Blocking them may affect how some parts of the Site work.
Meta Pixel and advertising
We use the Meta Pixel on every page of the Site. It reports visits and interactions to Meta Platforms so that we can measure the performance of our campaigns on Facebook and Instagram and show the film to people who may be interested in it.
The Meta Pixel shares your IP address, browser information and the pages you visit with Meta. We do not use it to collect your name, email address or other contact details, and you can limit it through your Facebook or Instagram advertising settings or through your browser.
Contact inquiries
Inquiries sent through the form are stored in our own database and forwarded by email to the relevant members of the production (general or press contact). They are used only to answer you and, where relevant, to follow up on a screening or press request.
WhatsApp communications
The Site offers buttons that let you share content over WhatsApp, and it publishes contact details through which you may choose to write to the production on WhatsApp.
If you contact us on WhatsApp, your phone number, the WhatsApp profile information you make available to us and the content of your messages may be processed by us — and by WhatsApp/Meta — in order to answer your inquiry. WhatsApp is a service of Meta Platforms and is subject to Meta's own terms and privacy policy.
Third-party services
The Site uses the following third-party services, each of which processes information under its own privacy policy:
- Base44 — the platform that hosts and runs the Site, including its database, backend and usage analytics;
- Meta Platforms — the Meta Pixel for advertising measurement, and WhatsApp (see above);
- Google (YouTube) — embedded video players and video thumbnails;
- Google (Fonts) — the web typefaces used by the Site;
- Google (Forms) — external registration forms for some screening events, opened only if you click a Register link;
- Rivhit / iCredit, for the CoPro Fund for Marketing Israeli Content (NPO) — the donation page, which collects donation and payment details directly. The Site does not store card details.
Some of these providers may process information in countries outside Israel, including the United States and the European Union.
Why we process information
We use information for the following purposes:
- to answer your inquiry, screening request or press request;
- to send you information you have asked for;
- to measure and improve the Site and the campaigns that lead people to it;
- to meet legal, accounting and tax obligations;
- to protect the Site against misuse.
Where required, we rely on your consent; otherwise we rely on our legitimate interest in operating and promoting the film, or on a legal obligation.
Data retention
Inquiries and correspondence are kept for as long as necessary to deal with them and for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping, after which they are deleted. Analytics and advertising data are retained according to the settings and policies of the services listed above.
Data security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access restrictions and a professional hosting platform. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access the information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to its processing, to withdraw consent you have given, or to receive it in a portable form.
If you are in Israel, the Privacy Protection Law gives you the right to review information held about you. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the rights set out in the GDPR.
You may also complain to your local supervisory authority — in Israel, the Privacy Protection Authority. To exercise any of these rights, write to beyondcreativeoffice@gmail.com and we will respond within the time required by law.
Children
The Site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
External links
The Site contains links to external websites — for example news articles, IMDb, ticket and registration pages and social networks. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and we recommend reading their own policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version, with the date it was last updated, is always the one published on this page.
